This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey Xotikpny. I saw on the forum you got a passion for film. I run a small film production company in Hollywood where we get artists from all over the net to work together to shoot professional short films and series. If you want to check it out, I left a link below. We are just getting things started so I thought I'd throw out the word.
Gotcha! haha I didn't really think you were going to do that stuff for me. but I bet you were like whaaaaaat this fools crazy?!!?!? when you read that tho huh? lol oh that was so good. but serious tho I would set something like that but im too unorganized to keep to it.. Im jealous.. Teach me!

I guess its natural to get a sketchy feeling about this place.
I would have to assume that you have a lot more work than what is actually in your gallery.. Unless you were just born with good technique and an understanding of colors. I like your work and would like to see more of it. how bout we have a little competition no prize other than improvement and further understanding of media. what do you say.. a drawing a day? ....
maybe for a week or two.. from potraits to abstract to lanscapes.. how bout the bay?
I just had to continue my rhyme.. sorry. Have a good day

Wow, I'm really impressed, I see that your 20 years old, and your work is very mature. I was finger painting with lead paint when I was 20... I can see your a little more grounded.
Good work, and keep up the 7 am art and coffee schedule as long as you can!. Before you know it, you will have a 7 am run to the gym and then off to work schedule. The real world is a scary place!! KEEP PAINTING!
thank you so much! you have already motivated me! sometimes, i just want to wake up early, get a cup of coffee, and just watch the morning sunrise. i know it sounds corny, but it's like my art meditation.. it creates inspirations for me and it gets me started on a confident and successful "art day."
Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be an artist. I went to Tyler School of art and eventually landed in painting because it was the only release I had from my mind.
Then I graduated and entered into the real world and was hit by the reality that painting doesnt pay the bills unless you really put yourself out there and push your art at everyone.
I'm not that type of person. I wish someone back in the day had told me to make art my hobby instead of my life. I should have taken a major that was real. I really didnt need to take classes in painting and drawing, I was a natural artist, and to be honest I havent improved a bit since high school. I learnbed all the fundamentals in my honors classes back in high school.
Now I have to start all over again, and don't have time to paint. If you can get into the habit of painting first thing in the morning, and then detach yourself from it and go to work making money, I believe that you will be a very well balanced person.
Now, I wake up at 9 am try to make it to the gym and then I go and draft interiors at school. The running is the only thing that even comes close to the realise I get from painting.
Drafting is great, but it definitely is not painting or drawing. By the time I get home I am swamped with homework, and end up going to bed around 2 am. Every now and then if the teacher will take us someplace to freedraw exteriors or interiors, and I am in a full trance just drawing, and loving it. The kids in class can only draw lines with rulers, and they spend the class period looking over my shoulder in awe that I can render freehand. I dont even notice them because I go into my little trance state of the art that consumes me.
I have a friend that is also on here, she is a crazy girl that loves to paint. She is a starving artist but she never turned her back on painting and is still pushing her art onto the world. She is a great inpiration to me. You might want to look her up. She managed to make her dream come true. She puts her work in galleries and is able to sell some of her work. If you want to take the road to painting instead of getting a serious job that is boring you may want to get in touch with her to see who her contacts are now.
What are your future plans?
I cant tell you how shocked I was when I graduated college. I wish I was more disciplined. You are truly talented, and have a great design sense for simplicity. Have you considered graphic design or illustration? You would be fabulous at it.
My friends screen name is DreaminginNuclear, you will see some of her work in my favorites pile.
Shes awesome to know. Her name is Liz Krick, please drop her a line and tell her that Liz Aaron sent you over.
Also, a great artist sometimes focuses on one thing. My friend liz has always had a theme of dolls and hot pink. It makes for a powerful statement and all of her work ties together. I had a huge problem with that. I got bashed because my artowrk is all over the place. I could never tie it together.
Its like Cezanne. He painted the same pmountain a hundred different times. Some artists need that. Im actually trying to find something like that, and start a series. Im starting off on small note cards and using chinese brush paintings as a theme. I dont have time to pull out my oils, so paint and ink are the only things I have time for.
Let me know whats going on- trust me you are more of a motivation and inspiration to me then I am to you. I just want to help you out with the road ahead- not that you need it.
-keep up the great work!
-Liz
Thanks!
